Intro (w/heavy distortion)
C--\4~4-4-2-4~4-4-2-4~4-4-2/7~6~6\--|
A--\4~4-4-2-4~4-4-2-4~4-4-2/7~6~6\--|
C--\4~4-4-2-4~4-4-2-4~4-4-2/7~6~6\--|
Then just slide off the neck
Verse
C--4-4-4-4-4--4-4-4-2-2-2-4-4-4-4--|
A--4-4-4-4-4--4-4-4-2-2-2-4-4-4-4--|
C--4-4-4-4-4--4-4-4-2-2-2-4-4-4-4--|
Then just repeat the 4-2-4 part until the guitar and bass cut out.
The rhythm for the chorus is played the same as the intro. I prefer to play the synth line for the chorus, which is as follows-
Chorus (w/heavy distortion, reverb and chorus)
e--19~19(b^)20(r)19-19-17~17-19-19(b^)20(r)19~16~15~--|
Fill
C--9~9--9-9-7-9~9-9\--|
A--9~9--9-9-7-9~9-9\--|
C--9~9--9-9-7-9~9-9\--|
End the fill by doing a quick slide up and down the neck.
The second verse is played exactly the same as the first. I only play the little synth piece below, because it screws up the rhythm of the song if you play the verse, then switch to the synth fill, and then back to the verse. The synth fill is as follows-
Fill (w/heavy distortion, reverb and chorus)
e--11-10------------------|
b-----------13-11-10~--|
For the second chorus, just do a big slide up the neck into the chorus synth. Then play the verse once during the breakdown, and then go straight into the solo.
Solo (w/heavy distortion, reverb and chorus)
e-----------------1----------5---6---5----6\5/10~11~8~---|
b--1-1------------1/4--4---4---4---4---------------------|
g--------0-3---------------------------------------------|
C--------------4-----------------------------------------|
Second Part
e-----8---6------13-----11--------17----18----17------18\17/22(b^)23~(r)22~20~--|
b-------8--------------13-------16-----16----16-----16--------------------------|
g--5----------10----------------------------------------------------------------|
After the solo just go right back into the chorus. For the last verse of the chorus, I drop down and play this-
e--7~7(b^)8(r)7-7-5~5-7-7(b^)8(r)7~/10~9~--|
The outro is just a rhythmic variation on the 4-2-4 verse line with a little wah mixed in.
